Ivy Walker Halls of Ivy Small Business University Founder
I know the feeling that drove you to start your own business. That yearning to be the master of your own fate. I felt it too. It's at once exhilarating, and terrifying. But you did it. You took the leap. Now, to get to where you truly want to be with your business, you have to make sure that you've properly equipped yourself.
In all of my experience coaching entrepreneurs, I have seen time and again that it isn't a lack of hard work that leads small business owners to fail, it's often a lack of business acumen and a lack of awareness of what their knowledge deficits are costing them. There's a lot of not knowing what they don't know.
I've seen this lead to the inevitable failure of some of the best ideas. This doesn't have to be the case.
Like you, I am an entrepreneur. I am a small business owner. In fact, I currently own multiple small businesses. And I've previously owned several more.
Over the course of my life, I have started a number of businesses and have had successes as well as failures. I've gotten a lot of things right and a lot of things wrong. And importantly, I've learned a lot along the way.
One of the most important things I've learned is how to quickly gain "know-how". I don't have weeks or even hours to spend in webinars, online courses or in-person classes (heaven forbid!). I have businesses to run and problems that need solving right now. Years ago, it occurred to me that I didn't need to be an expert in a lot of what I needed to know, I just needed enough know-how to get done what I needed done, to know what questions I needed to ask and to know when to bring in an expert and how best to utilize them. The approach I developed to getting that know-how formed the basis of Halls of Ivy Small Business University and the content I am sharing with you.
Halls of Ivy is dedicated to helping you build the best business you can build. You don't need to launch the next Google in order to create a successful business that enables you to build wealth and affords you the lifestyle you want. But you do need know-how. You can get that here.
I look forward to joining you on your journey to sustained small business success. If you'd like to learn more about me and my (ad)ventures,
